Rested

Jodee did 8 hours last night! Not in a row, but that's how much sleep I got from 10:30-8:20 this morning. It felt nice to say I had that much, but our weather was not too nice today, so that did make me feel a bit blah, but even with a good nights sleep the rain just does that. I had the motivation to make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins this morning (they turned out good fresh, but from the fridge they're a bit dryer, but thanks to leftover cream cheese spread in the freezer, they were yummy!), then I had dinner made by 2 and the kitchen was all clean, laundry done (I just folded it tonight), but I had enough time to sit and KNOW that I did something today! Yeah! Sidney didn't want to nap today which was OK seeing she went down perfectly tonight. That's a bonus to her not napping! Jodee is passed out on the couch right now with Byron, who is also passed out. I do want to wake Jodee soon to feed so that IF she decides to be up for a bit, I'm not stuck staying up too late. Maybe she'll be like last night where she slept all day, evening, and then a nice 4 hour stretch. Cross my fingers, but not counting on it! I have gotten a few smiles out of her the last few evenings, of course when Byron is already in bed and not long enough to even think about grabbing the camera, but oh, it`s just priceless and SO worth it! She still hasn`t pooped since Sunday night and I just don't like it. I did give her a bath in the sink in a tub tonight and she usually likes it, but she cried almost the whole time. I have a feeling she wants to poop, but just can't. I didn't give her formula last night and I haven't given her probiotics today to try ease up her stomach a bit. I just really want her to poop so that I feel better. I did end up paging the midwife on call (it's for EMG only, but I did it anyway) as I just wasn't feeling good about it. She just suggested if I give her formula, nurse, then formula, then nurse again so that her stomach is coated and to ease up on both formula and probiotics, then introduce them again to figure out which one is the problem. She said not to worry though as the longest she's heard of a breastfed baby not pooping is 13 days. Sorry I'm writing about poop! I'm sure some of you just don't care. It's my blog though and I'm just writing it as I think!

Here's a picture of Jodee about an hour ago snuggled next to Byron:

  1. So nice to read about how you're all doing and seeing the pics of the girls -- they're both so adorable (in case you didn't know!)
