Cultus

Tonight and last night with the heat taking over, we decided to head to Cultus Lake after Byron would get off work. We would pack a light, easy dinner and enjoy eating it there and going for a swim. So refreshing! Tonight though, Byron's boss and his wife decided to head to Cultus with their boat seeing they found out we were heading there, so they gave us a ride on the boat. We didn't have a life jacket for Jodee and we both knew it wasn't worth the risk to take her on the boat (even though we both didn't want to do it that way, but we both knew deep down that was the right thing to do). So, Byron and Sidney went for a ride with them while I fed Jodee and hung out on the beach for a bit, then they came back and his wife offered to watch Jodee as she just LOVES babies (they have 2 grandkids). So, off we went and I noticed a knee-board laying in the boat. I just made a joke to the boss about it and he said he brought it for us to try if we wanted to. So, I took him up on that offer! I had never knee-boarded before and was up for a try. So, off I jumped in the lake, and it felt oh-so-good! So, up I went on the second try as the first try I wasn't holding onto the bar properly. So, it took a few tries after that to get up again as the water was a BIT choppy and I was bumped around a bit or I just couldn't get my knees in the proper place so trying to adjust myself made me fall. What a ton of fun! The boss said you needed a lot of upper body strength but I didn't find any strain on that at all, so it was fun! Who would have thought I'd given birth 4 weeks ago! Heehee. This is the fun part of not being pregnant, being able to enjoy the summer a bit more! Sidney wasn't too keen on not being able to see me if I had fallen and they were driving the boat around to give me the bar again, but she got over it. Just proves she loves me! Haha, I knew she did! So, we'll see how I sleep tonight and if I'm sore tomorrow. At this point I don't think I will, but we'll just have to wait and see.




I should sign off as it's 10:42pm and Sidney is STILL sitting on the couch with me and Byron is in bed. So, I need to make his lunch and then get this girl to bed, then feed Jodee, then go to bed. Night-night!
