Grr, I just hit a button on my computer and lost a WHOLE whack of what I wrote! I hate it when that happens! Of course there's no undo button so I can retrieve it back. Sigh, well, here we try again!
It's so awsome and fun to see Sidney growing up these days. Her big things she likes to do now are:
-wrapping her "babies" up by putting a blanket on them and saying "nigh-night" and putting her finger to her lips and saying "shh..."
-"reading" books and magazines that she finds around the house by being noisy using a deep throaty voice while she "reads". The best thing she's read so far has been a truckers magazine that Byron brought home from work one day last week.
-trying to talk to us in her babbling and we just nod and agree, so she'll nod her head and say "yeah" like we understand her.
I had a skirt laying around the house recently that I wasn't sure I liked, but everytime Sidney saw it, she had to bring it to me for her to wear and loved it! It's just so fun to have her around being a girly-girl sometimes, and other times, into the boy things. She LOVES it when we sit on the ground with her and roll a ball back and forth. She lets us know she wants us to play with her by saying "me" and nodding her head, the when we ask if she wants us to play with her, she gets all excited and plunks herself on the ground, squeezing her legs together with excitement. It's crazy too seeing how fast her feet are growing too! I feel like it was only a few months ago that she was growing into size 5 shoes, but I've had to put a few away and pull out or buy some size 6 shoes. Sigh, no wonder Byron complains I have too many shoes for her!
Byron is busy today working an overtime shift for B. Reimer his regular job. He's been trying to get in as many hours at Reimer or Heppells these days when he has a day off. It's nice in the money department! July will be brutal for us as we have property tax due, house insurance due, and 3 mortgage payments going out that month too, so all in all, NOT a good month for us. We're trying to sell our car too which hasn't been successfull and buy ourselves a decent minivan. It wasn't what we had planned to do so soon, but we're trying to cut our monthly payments down. We, I should say more me, are excited to upgrade to a van so that Sidney sits higher and can FINALLY see out the window and see the animals instead of looking up at the birds. So, we have our car advertised on Craigs List, Kijiji, and out by the road anytime we're home. We have had people lowball us on the price, email asking if it's still available but don't respond back, or scammers saying they're out of country and want to pay via whatever. We're just praying someone will be interested one day and just let us move on! Now that we've made up our mind and want to sell, we're excited and anxious to get it done.
Here are some pictures of Sidney recently. The one with her in the brown shirt was taken about 20 minutes ago, so that is the most recent one for you out-of-towners!
I put her straight in the shower after this picture was taken! This is what happened when we let our 17 month old feed herself spaghetti!
Nice!! Looks like your girl is getting curls!! Love seeing/reading about her personality. Nice quilting photos, too... ah-hem!! :)
