August 27 I went blueberry picking with my friend Jen and her Camia. Considering we were picking for 3 hours, the girls did reasonably well! Sidney ended up sleeping on my back in the carrier that I made for a bit. It was great as I was leaning over anyways to pick, so her weight on my back was fine! Camia did great, walking around proudly and helping her mom pick berries. Within the 3 hours, we picked quite a bit! Jen picked about 40lbs and I don't know how much I picked, but it was 3/4 of a superstore bin full. Took a few days to take care of the berries, but they're all put away and waiting to be eaten! Last Sunday I made a blueberry crumble (sorry Jen, no picture of it) and this Sunday we're host family at church, so I'm thinking of making a cheesecake and putting blueberries on top. Mmm, can't wait!

Sidney was doing great even at the end! She was crawling around on the ground and found a branch that was very low to the ground, so she sat on her knees propped up by the stroller and helped herself. Even though I found some leaves in her mouth, she did great! I say it's great for her developement picking the berries and putting them in her mouth!

Well, gotta use up my berries this fall/winter/spring, so that I can go pick more next year!
