Last weekend I had my niece Candice over from Friday to Monday, which Brittney spent the night from Sunday to Monday so I could drive them to school. Sorry the pictures are not in order as I don't know if blogger puts them in whatever order or if I have to select in a certain order.
Sunday evening we stopped in at Ray and Tracey's as they just received chicks on the Friday. The kids thought that it was pretty cool to be there. It was Sidney's first time seeing chicks and she was pretty enthralled with them!
On Sunday afternoon Candice and I stayed home and goofed off in the back yard. Candice was my handy photographer and took the pictures, except of herself of course. It took a day but Petey and Henry were great hanging out together. Pete still liked to tease Henry, but Henry sure was able to let Pete know when he'd crossed the line! Also, see the t-shirt and no sweater!! It sure was nice out that day for a change!

On the Saturday I took Candice out to Cultus Lake. Sidney had never been there and loved looking at the little waves that came in. Candice liked to look for smooth rocks that she could take home and show off. It got pretty cool sitting there for the 15 minutes we were there.

These are some random pictures we took of Sidney in recent days. Love her nice double chin ehh? The pictures of her layin on the couch is taken just after she goes for a nap. She's now starting to teeth so she sure can drool quite a bit! She's now starting to grab for things that she see's in front of her. She's still not sleeping through the night, and Byron and I are just not they type to let her cry it out. We tried but don't have it in us. I do get up to feed her but I do cut her off. My goal is to cut her off pretty quickly so that she knows it's not worth it to wake up. She doesn't like it that I do cut her off but finds her thumb pretty quick.
These days Byron is busy working on a cabinet for her room. He had started on one before she was born but didn't like the material he was working with so he started over with pine and is doing a different design. It'll be shelving on one side and 2 rows for hanging stuff on the other. Will post pictures when it's all done. The tree's are all pruned in the back yard so hopefully we can start to have a good crop of apples seeing we have 3 apple trees (don't know the variety) and 1 pear tree which is not in the best of conditions.
Byron recently had a meeting with the big boss at work, named Byron as well. Byron was asked if he would be willing to take on the position of junior dispatcher and also to be in charge of driver training when new guys were hired. The job of a dispatcher is to organize loads of feed as orders come in, deciding which drivers deliver which load and organizing loads that go to Vancouver Island and up country. He also recieved a small raise which is nice. It's nice to see Byron's hard work rewarded as he's only been there for a year and a half; considering other guys have been there for years but Byron got the promotion instead.
As for me, life is same as usual which consists of taking care of our babe. It is not a chore in the least. The hard part about staying at home all the time is the fact that it's hard coming up with idea's of what to cook dinner every night. When I was working, it was so easy to order something on the way home or something. I take advantage of the internet for looking up what I want to make! I just recently ordered some fuzzi bunz diapers and I don't mind them at all! I ordered some medium sizes as I found she leaked really bad out of the smalls up the front when she was sleeping. I am waiting to pick up liners I ordered from Rochelle in the states so I can use all 4 that I ordered because silly me ordered 4 diapers and 1 liner. If I like them then I'll go out and buy more so I have about 12 or so.
It's so cute right now. Byron is on the couch reading and getting sleepy, so Sidney is snuggled on his chest just staring out into space sucking on her thumb. We can never get tired of snuggling with her! I should go and clean up the kitchen a bit and think about dinner. Pasta and Carbonara sauce with chicken. Yummy!! Until next time!

  1. Thanks for another update. Yes, you are very blessed to have green grass & short-sleeve shirt days already. We're gonna have another lousy dump of snow tomorrow:(
Glad you are liking your Fuzzybunz... keep an eye out on Craigs list. BTW, I saw a lady here in Calgary selling heaps of Mother Eaze diapers for $400... not sure if she still has them???
