This is what our front yard looked like before. One day we decided we were going to spruce up the front. I attacked the fence with a hammer and Byron took out the posts. It's so much easier to mow the grass now that we have more room to move around.
WIth the tulips now in bloom, the front yard looks awsome. Now I'm just waiting for help from Byron's parents in putting in the front garden. I've never done it before and I really want it to look nice, not just random flowers in random places. I'll try to post more pictures when it's all done.
These are some current pictures of Sidney out and about. She loves to drink out of a cup and a sippy cup now, which will hopefully be really nice so we can use that instead of bottles eventually. She does drink from a bottle though so I can do things without her. She's definately getting bigger these days. At her 4 month doctors appointment she weighed 16.3 lbs. Not bad I should say. She's getting more control of her hands and arms these days and can hold toys alot better. She's more smiley these days and tends to giggle alot more too. Nothing is ever boring around here. She's sleeping through the night again which is nice. She doesn't have a certain bedtime yet, but no rush as that will come eventually. She's into sticking out her tongue now and making noises that way. Her little tongue is so cute!! Last Sunday we were at Bredenhof's and took her out to see the cows for the first time. She definately had to study them, but didn't flinch when a cow came really close to her face. We think that she'll be a dog lover too. Every time she see's Pete, she can't stop from grinning. She giggles at the neighbor dog when he barks at Pete. A 9 week old puppy came up to her too and nothing but smiles from her. Today I took her to the pool with a friend and her 11 month old. Sidney was sleepy by the time we hit the water and she didn't like it at first. She's been there before, but you can definately tell she's a very sensitive personalitly, unfortunately. Such is the life of having a girl! I thought about it the other day and couldn't believe she's going to be 5 months old on Sunday. Wow, time sure flies! On May 27 Byron, Sidney and I will fly out to Calgary and rent a car. We'll stay in Calgary for 1 night at Wilma and Curtis, then drive up to Edmonton and visit Reuben, Rebecca and girls, and other people, and then on June 1 we'll drive back down to Calgary again and leave the following night. It'll be nice to fly so we don't have to worry about driving with Sidney and stopping to feed or give her a car seat break, etc. A relief to take it the easy way. We're definately looking forward to that little break. Should be fun!
