Overnight...
Well, last night made this pregnancy more of a reality. For 3.5 hours, I was awake dealing with continuous Braxton Hicks. I forgot that they were like!! Not something that I enjoy, that's forsure. I didn't know what it was first as it was like cramps that went into my lower back. An hour and a half after it all started, I looked it up on the internet and found out it wasn't the real deal. So, after more discomfort, I finally fell asleep around 3:30am. I talked to the midwife this morning and she suggested I make sure I drink lots of water as being dehydrated can cause Braxton Hicks, to take a epson salt bath if need be, use a hot water bottle on my back if needed, and to lay on my left side as apparently that helps too (NOT!). So, today I took it easy as I was still a bit sore from cramping so much last night. I didn't do a whole lot, watched more of my Anne of Green Gables saga. Sidney is at the point where if she naps too long during the day, she won't go to bed without a fight at night, meaning it seems she doesn't get to nap much anymore. She seemed tired today, but fought naptime, so I ended up shutting her door for 30-45 minutes, which she didn't appreciate, but I need her to learn that if she's not going to nap anymore, she needs to have some down/quiet time in the afternoon in her room. How do you teach a 19 month old that? I'm winging it! I'm sure I can look it up, but I haven't yet. I'm not ready for nap time to end with this baby on the way, but if she knows by the time he/she is born that she has to have quiet time, hopefully I can have some nap/down time if both kiddo's are down. AHH!! Both kids. Sounds wierd! I'm over it though! Well, I hope I do well for the rest of this week as we're FINALLY getting our 30 degree weather! Yippee!!! I know Byron's NOT looking forward to it, but I am!!!! So far anyways :) Well, enjoy your week and we'll catch up soon!
