Last week monday to wednesday, Byron, Sidney, Pete and myself went camping up to Lac Le Jeune, 1/2 hour before Kamloops. Sidney did quite well. She did get tired of the playpen all the time, but I forgot a big blanket to lay on the ground so that she could move around, but oh well. The weather wasn't awsome. The day we got there, there was blue sky, but also dark clouds. We just had the tent set up and it started POURING! We threw anything that couldn't get wet either in the truck or tent. It only lasted a few minutes and then it dried up pretty quickly too. Tuesday the weather was the same, but no rain. The thing that sucks about camping with a baby is that they don't understand that even though it's light in the morning, IT'S STILL TOO EARLY!!!! She woke up a couple times the first night, understandably as it's a new thing for her. Then, around 4:48 AM!, she woke up all bright eyed and ready to start her day. Ha ha, yeah right! Neither one of us was ready to start that early! So, we put her back in her playpen with a pile of toys, and we went back to sleep. She must have fallen asleep at some point, but woke up a little while later. I don't remember, so she came in bed with us. We weren't willing to get out then! Do you blame us? We're on holidays! She doesn't do that at home, so why would we put up with it camping?

Just some more random shots of Sidney and us camping. Yes, I was JUST out of the camera range while she was on the tire swing. She did like it! We didn't go swimming at all because the weather wasn't super fantastic. Oh well, another time!

We were supposed to come home from camping on the thursday, but we came home a day early, of course the weather would have been PERFECT that day!! Figures. Anyways, on the tuesday we spent 2 hours driving around Kamloops looking for a walk-in clinic for me. I thought I had pneumonia again (had it in Dec 07). My chest HURT like heck that I had pain even breathing. I convinced Byron not to pack up and go home, so we tried to see a doctor. Well, get this! It was 11 am at this time. 1st clinc we went to, they were booking at 6:30 pm!! Stupid I have to say. So I walked out ticked off. The lady told me about another clinic in the area, so we headed there. It was 11:30 when we found that one and they were booking for 3 pm that day! Of course, I wasn't going to wait, so I asked her if there was any other clinic in town. There was only 1 more clinic in town or the emergency. Good luck there if the clinics were rediculous wait times! So, I picked up pain meds and that took off the edge for the day. Boy was I ticked about the wait times! In the whole city of Kamloops, 3 walk in clinics and an ER. I find that pathetic! Anyways, I called my Dr. in Chilliwack and booked an appt for the next day, so that was why we left. Of course, I wasn't in much pain at all that day, but we decided to go anyways just to make sure. So, the Dr confirmed that it wasn't anything much. He thought I may have strained a muscle in my chest. I guess it was a good thing that we came home that day as Sidney ran a fever that night and into the next day. Alas, I got sick Saturday night and Byron Sunday night! We think we know where we got that from... We're all better now for those concerned!
