Just hanging out in the back yard one day I decided to snap a bunch of pictures of Sidney. I thought she looked, and looks, darn cute in a bandana. So, of course, Pete had to stick his nose in too. That was OK because he entertained her and I got some really cute shots of Sidney sticking her face in his fur. She LOVES him, but he still isn't too sure of her. Even if she gets clost to him by 'crawling' (pulling herself on her tummy) towards him, he looks and me with a look that says 'help me' and gets up to come by me. Stinker!
2 weeks ago we took Sidney to the Vedder River because it was a hot day. Usually Sidney would cry when her toes would touch cold water (it's cold!!), but since swimming lessons, she's been great in the water! I only put her up to her thighs, but she didn't even cry! Yippee!! The swim lessons paid off! I didn't go in, so why would I subject her to that if I can't even go all the way in?
This is a carrier that I made, thanks to my friend Jen S. It was quite easy to make! My mom helped me start on it but we ran out of time and her sewing machine broke down too. So far I really like it! It's not the most flattering in regards to the ties, but I have used it a handfull of times and the best time is when it's time for Sidney to go to sleep. Works like a charm to have her up close and snuggled up to my chest. I don't really like her on my back yet, but she is young too. This carrier is supposed to hold up to 35 lbs. We have a ways to go!
