We're in the process of selling our house right now. We're heading up further up the valley to start up a small chicken farm which we hope ONE day to make bigger. We'll start off with approx. 6000 birds, which isn't much, but it's a great start! We're super excited about this new chapter in our lives. It worked out great for Byron and I b/c the land works great to build, and the house is move in ready (brand new kitchen, yeah!!!). It's a rancher, not huge, but bigger than what we presently have and really nice. Even has 2 bathrooms and a playroom! The big move will happen already at the end of July, so quickly so that the barn building can begin. So, we've had a for sale sign outside our house for a week tomorrow, and so far we've had 4 viewings. No offers yet, that we know of. We have another showing on Monday night, so we're hoping something works out great soon b/c we want to be done with this all and not have to worry about still owning the house when we move. It was a long week last week, cleaning and straightening out the house prepping it. Now it's all clean and tidy, but the thing is trying to KEEP it that way seeing we have a toddler and baby around who like to take things apart. My house wasn't normally messy, but now you really pay attention to where you put things, making sure you put items away right away and not later, leaving no pants on the floor, books on the shelf, etc. You never know when you'll get a phone call for a showing.
So, today we had a showing from 12-1 and 3:15-4, so we had to leave the house for the afternoon. So, what do you do when you're FORCED to be out of the house? We decided to head to Othello Tunnels. We haven't been there in a number of years, so why not? Here are pictures of our day.
While we were loading up the van, I found Sidney in the front seat, helping herself to a timbit or 2 :)
Pictures that Sidney took.
