Today I headed off to a birthday party for a 2 year old. It was fun! Poor Jodee was so tired so I was the first one to leave. The weather nicely cooperated that I was able to go for a 50 minute walk with the girls and Petey. We hung out in the back yard for a bit too, so hence my picture of the day...
At dinner tonight we noticed that Jodee has a stiff neck. We didn't know what to think as she also felt warm. I ended up bringing her to a walkin clinic as I didn't want to take a risk with her. The Dr. right away said it wasn't meningitis as she didn't have a fever. He figures she slept wrong and not to worry. He says if she developes a rash or a fever, bring her in again. Phew, she's OK!
Oh, on a funny and intesting note, I had to disipline Sidney today for saying something bad. We were loading ourselves into the van this morning and as I was loading Jodee in, Sidney was prancing around and I heard her say something, but wasn't 100% sure what I heard. She came by me and I asked her to repeat herself and she blurts out "Oh my G..". Uh, I was shocked! I right away had to tell her not to ever say that again. I have never heard her say that before and don't know where she would have picked it up. It was quite funny looking back. Totally innocent 2 year old prancing around and saying something she doesn't know she's talking about. And this is only the beginning...
So nice to see you're putting up a daily pic. I really need to get some pix blogged or emailed... such a slacker I am, eh?! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Jodee is ok. She is just so cute in the swing.
Perhaps Sidney was listening to the psalms sung in church, thus the expression? Hmmm.
Looking forward to the next batch of pix........ !!!
Trentin got the phrase from the TV show "Clifford." Emily doesn't say it with the "d" on the end but with the "sh." I cannot believe how many children's programs have words that our family doesn't deem acceptable. It's everywhere, unfortunately. Wow eh? Sure is a shocker when they say that.
